| Planner - Civils Projects - North West Our client is a well know national company. They specialise in civil engineering projects across the UK, and they currently require a Planner to be based from the Lancashire office. Whilst you will be based in the planning department at this office, there will be site visits required regularly. This client works on a wide range of projects. These include a lot of work with concrete frames, water projects, land remediation and other infrastructure work. Projects range in value up to £60mn, and the company gets involved with these from tender stage right through to completion. This role has arisen due to the current workload that this company has. They have recently won numerous projects, hence the need for additional resource. This is to work within their existing team, and opportunities for progression in the role exist as the company continues to grow. They require the following experience: - Planning experience of major civils projects in the UK. Ideally they would like someone who has worked on projects similar to those that this client carries out. -They would consider a good candidate with 12 months experience seeking progression, or a more established planner with more experience. They are more concerned with the ability and commitment of the planner as opposed to the years of experience. - An engineering background is desirable, as they require the successful planner to have good hands on knowledge of civil engineering projects - It is important that the successful applicant is IT literate and has experience of planning software such as Primavera, PowerProject or MS Project In return, the client is willing to offer a generous basic salary of up to £35 000 per annum. They also offer a car allowance, health care and a contributory pension scheme. This is a good opportunity to work within a well established yet rapidly growing company.
