| Principal Wind Energy Project Engineer Major Wind Energy Consultancy Manchester Outline of Role Our client are a well established multi-disciplined renewable energy consultancy, and are looking for a project engineer to join their established project team on major commissions. Responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the design elements of the project (including time and cost), either alone or through multi-discipline project teams. Technical lead in the areas of energy yield assessment, turbine layout optimisation and performance. This will include in-house modelling using propriety wind farm modelling packages as well as review of other consultants wind modelling results. Qualifications Required Varied and extensive post-graduate experience in the renewable energy sector, the majority of which will ideally be in the wind energy market. A recognised professional qualification and membership of Energy Institute and/or other appropriate professional bodies would be an advantage. Experience Required You must have knowledge/experience of the management of smaller projects, both financially and technically. Have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, construction supervision and administration. Demonstrable experience in project planning and tracking via MS Project. Commercial understanding of Wind Turbine/Farm project lifecycle and consultant's various roles within that lifecycle. Familiarity with software packages such as MS Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD etc. Initial site identification/wind analysis software.
