The Role
Buyer for the Supply Chain Family of the Facilities Management Team.
To support and assist the delivery of procurement requirements to Work Winning and Project Delivery teams. To support and negotiate, place orders and contracts for materials and services. Business strategy states that Supply Chain will be delivered through Strategic and Operational procurement supported by Category Management. This role will lead operational procurement on work winning, a single project or a series of smaller projects.

The role will include support on larger value contracts and direct involvement and leading on lower value works.
*Prepare and issue enquiries, carry out quotation analysis and evaluation
*Select and propose appropriate vendors
*Conduct negotiations with Suppliers & Subcontractors (low and moderate value/risk), place orders at least end cost
*Compliance with corporate Supply Chain processes & procedures. Contribute to the implementation of project Supply Chain Strategies
*Manage procurement against the Tender Event Schedule/Procurement Programme
*Resolve problems between Suppliers and Carillion, expedite quotes and deliveries. Liaise with stores/site team/suppliers
*Prepare and present reports as required, achieve targets set by team
*Monitor Supplier Performance and support the raising of the supplier performance. Sharing of supplier performance with key stakeholders

You will have a working knowledge of one functional area through job experience & training
Likely to have 4/5 years business experience, be a minimum part-qualified professional, and have a Certificate Level of Qualification as a minimum.
