Founded in 1966, their expertise and profile have rapidly grown and today they are widely recognised as a key regional player within construction. With over 1000 employees and 9 regional offices across London and the South East, their annual turnover is in excess of £250M. Accredited by Investors in People, our client values and nurtures its staff and encourages progression and promotion amongst its staff at all levels. Their core values including quality, integrity, transparency and progression, our client is reputed for their successful delivery of complete construction solutions and working unfailingly in partnership with both their clients and supply chain. As a result, key to their ability and ethos is a deep-seated understanding of how construction projects impact on the end-user, as well as securing and nurturing long-term client relationships. Looking to hire a new Project Surveyor, the successful candidate will be based in St Albans, on a £10M design and build project (procure 21 EC2, single storey traditional construction apart from green roof). The Role - Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Intermediate Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor A proven Quantity Surveyor with a very strong track record, you will have 6 to 8 years' experience, the majority ideally gained in commercial new build projects (no more than 1 year's house-building experience). Specific project exposure is more important than company background: desirable for the client is experience gained with mid to large contractors and should include number 1 QS status on £6-7M project/s or number 2 on £15M project/s. Accustomed to working on complex major construction projects, key to your understanding will be a real technical grasp of measurements, ie you will understand and apply this as second nature. You will also be both results and deadline-driven and possess the drive and the confidence to work in a highly professional site-based team. Important is your ability to progress and develop within the role, as well as a strong level of ambition, as our client is looking to promote this new recruit up to Senior Surveyor level in as little as 2 years. | ||
