| Energy Engineer Southampton Responsibilities: To utilise previous experience in designing civil structures while working on energy-focused projects ranging from planning, design, engineering and environmental expertise through to full project leadership and project development, right through to completion. You will be expected to produce designs and reports independently. You will also be required to assist in the management of projects and a role in the development of junior members of staff. Responsible to:Principal Engineer and Associate Education and Training *Good degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) ideally with MEng (or equivalent) *Chartered Engineer (or approaching Chartership) with appropriate experience Experience: Previous experience in the design of civil engineering structures is essential. Experience from the Energy and Power industries and from a multi-disciplinary environment would be an advantage. Special Skills and Knowledge *Knowledge of Microsoft applications *Good level of written and spoken English *Experience in the use of industry standard analysis and design standards *A sound understanding of structural behaviour Personality and Disposition *Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties. *Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines. *Can be relied on to meet deadlines. *Committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience.
