| My Client, a leading Developer throughout Central and Eastern Europe require a Commercial Manager to operate out of their offices in Slovenia. Ideal candidate will be educated to at least degree level and have vast experience within the Construction industry. Summary of responsibilities: Developing the overall procurement and contract strategy Provide advice and defending claims from all contracted parties Overall project budget/cost control Developing and implementing projecting control procedures Leading a team of quantity surveyors in the delivery of a high quality service to the Client Delivery of best practice quantity surveying methods and project control Maintaining staff utilisation and resource management Monthly reporting to the Project Director, liaising and communicating with others in the project team to ensure all project needs are reflected in the procurement and contract strategy Managing the execution of contracts to ensure the successful delivery Management of all tendering activity in accordance with the client Leading the administration of all contracts with support from the commercial management team Training and mentoring members of the project team in your area of expertise Client development and activity planning Candidate specification: Extensive experience working as a Commercial Manager Extensive contract and procurement experience Experience of quantity surveying in the construction industry An even balance between pre and post contract experience The ability to lead, manage and develop a team of similarly skilled individuals Good presentation skills and attention to detail in reporting Professional and diligent manner Excellent interpersonal, communication and client care skills Proven ability to operate as part of a complex organisation and the ability to influence others to adopt your recommendations High level of personal responsibility and self motivation so the ability to use ones own initiative is essential, whilst interacting with other senior project team members BSc in quantity surveying MRICS qualified in quantity surveying would be an advantage.
