About the Role:
Duties:
To carry overall responsibility for the financial success of the contracts and have a duty to ensure that costs are controlled at all levels and on all fronts, together with ensuring that the client is properly reimbursed for variations and changes to the contract.
To be the company's senior representative for any given contract and have the authority to make decisions on behalf of the company and accept responsibility for all matters affecting the contract.
To have overall responsibility for the administration, control, programming, re-programming and progress of the projects carried out by their team.
To ensure that the client's contractual position is preserved at all times but to use the resources at their disposal to complete the contract on time and to the clients satisfaction.
To protect and enhance the reputation and image of the company.
To be responsible for the safety and for the implementation of all safety, health and welfare measures set out in the company documents.
To take responsibility for any designated apprentices and trainees and ensure that they receive comprehensive training which, if possible, dovetails with their college training.
Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities:
To be capable of taking full responsibility for the profitable control and management of a large multi discipline contract.
Alternatively, to manage a project team engaged on a number of contracts or a large multi-disciplined contract.
To ensure that the best practice and labour improvement guidance from the Labour Improvement Team is implemented on all projects.
To carry out appraisals for staff under their direct control and to identify any training needs and ensure, in liaison with HR department, that these are provided.
To ensure that new starters are given a comprehensive induction into the Company using the job specification to have their duties and responsibilities clearly explained and identify and training needs.
To have responsibility for the health and safety of all staff under their control and to implement the company's Health and Safety Policy.

About the Candidate:

It is essential to have a solid work history within the M&E subcontracting industry in the UK
Proven experience of controlling the delivery of multimillion pound mechanical building services projects
