| The best salary packages available in Essex are now being offered to both electrical and mechanical building services Project Managers to take the leading roles on a number of front-page commercial fit-out projects, value of M&E works 1 - 7 million; turnover of our client 2008 60 million. Fact: Our client offers the most competitive salaries for project managers in Essex - if you feel you are head and shoulders above the other project managers in your company then our client would like to find out more. Over the last 4 years the cream of project managers have been attracted to our client and enjoy 90K salary packages; the turnover of staff at this level in the company is near to zero as the selection of these managers is very strict with only the best being offered positions within the company. With an office on the boarders of London and Essex staff can stay local to their homes in Essex; however, visit sites throughout London with the immediacy expected by some of the most demanding clients in the City. If you are the best you can expect to earn a lot of money in a short space of time and find yourself in a very senior position very quickly. The role: Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager reporting to the Contracts Manager/Operations Manager To control the technical execution of a project within the scope of the drawings, specification and quality plan for a cost, which will enable the company to maintain or maximise gross profit of the contract Key tasks: Interpret the requirements of the specification of the drawing Understand technical content of the specification and drawings Resolve any conflicts between their specification/drawings and our tender submission Resolve any technical queries during the contract Control contract expenditure Assist in the validation of tender values Manage the sub-contract packages to comply with our requirements Manage the productivity of the labour resource Assist with the procurement of all features of the project, work closely with Project Engineers and Commercial Manager on all variations and changes Liase with the Commercial Manager to maximise returns and deliver the project in the most profitable manner Report, pursue and implement variations/potential change items promptly Manage resources Monitor and report progress of the installation against programme Resolve programme pinch points with the Main Contractors Manage and monitor material deliveries Programme development before and during contract Co-ordinate sub-contractors and suppliers Communication and relationships Manage and communicate verbally and in writing with Main Contractors Liase with the Professional Team Manage the information flow to our sub contractors Communicate and inform the rest of our site team and senior management Attend relevant site meetings Good relationship with client Experience: Coming from a mechanical or electrical building services background (plumbing, heating, piping, ventilation - HVAC) Past experience (similar contracts, type and size in the UK) Awareness of all associated disciplines (e.g. estimating, QS, planning) IT experience (basic) Contract law (basic knowledge) Commercially aware An outstanding opportunity: Stay local - our client has strong local roots in Essex, yet has developed as one of the most formidable competitors in the London fit-out arena Head up prestigious London contracts getting your name known by influential city clients Earn what has been regarded as the best salary packages in M&E contracting in London in 2007/8 HumRes is a specialist recruitment consultancy with an extremely successful M&E building services division.
