| Senior Planning Engineer / M&E Planner
My client is a world-class contractor, who specialises in M&E and building services to the construction, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. With offices already established across the globe, my client is now looking to establish themselves within the UK market and has just opened a major office in Central London. They have ambitious growth targets for the next 5 years in the UK, meaning that career progression opportunities are likely to frequent.
My client currently requires a Senior Planning Engineer to work on a number of data-centre projects within the M25, worth several hundred million pounds in total. They have already secured these projects and require a Senior Planner with previous M&E/construction experience to help lead these forward.
This Planning Engineer role is primarily office based, although you will be required to visit sites one/two days per week. You will also be expected to liaise heavily with clients and senior management, so strong communication skills are essential. Although this is not a management position by title, you will be required to perform occasional management duties.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following:
- Significant planning experience within M&E/building services or construction sectors.
- Previous experience of working on data-centres would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency with Primavera P3 and MS Project is essential - Asta PowerProject would also be advantageous.
- Good communication skills as the role is client facing.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
In return for the Planning Engineer role, you will be offered an above-market salary of up to £75,000 per annum plus travel and benefits (dependent upon experience). PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION ONLY.
