| Senior Airport Project Manager Our Client is a leading multi disciplinary design and strategic consulting firm that operates globally. The company is rated within the Top 50 UK Employers. This position sits within the Transport Consulting Aviation Portfolio as part of the Global Aviation Business, and is London based. The individual will be joining a rapidly expanding and profitable business area and will be a key member of the team developing the business in to the future with scope to dominate the market. ROLE As Senior Airport Project Manager, the individual will: Lead on the technical planning input on a variety of airport projects, both in the UK and internationally. There will, therefore, be an element of travel. Interface externally with clients, and internally with analysts and commercial staff to create a seamless planning service. Manage and guide junior planners. Input in to consultancy bids and manage the financial performance of projects. Lead various planning related aviation investment initiatives. THE CANDIDATE Applicants will be: First degree qualified and preferably have a Masters in Airport Planning or Air Transport Management or Airfield Engineering. Have 5 to 7yrs (or more) direct experience in airport planning - either from a consultancy background or from an operator/airport perspective, including Master Planning, Surface Transport Access, Regulatory issues etc Be expert - or have exposure - across the whole range of core physical planning activity including: capacity/demand; long- term strategic development; short term capital planning; master planning and land use; and facility planning etc. Have good domain knowledge in relation to airport planning regulations, codes, standards and Practices, and to aircraft types and performance characteristics. Have a proven record of leading and managing planning projects or be able to demonstrate the ability to do so. Be comfortable in Excel and other Microsoft packages. Experience with other models would be an advantage but is not essential.
