| SECTION ENGINEER - OLYMPICS PROJECT - £30-40K + Package Our client is a leading civil engineering main contractor who deliver a full range of engineering activities through their specialist business units. With an annual turn over in excess of £3 billion they are well known within the industry for working on large projects and delivering these with first a class approach. Currently they are looking to recruit a section engineer with roads and bridges experience to work in and around Stratford which will make up part of the new Olympics site for 2012. As the section engineer you will: * Oversee a section of the works and a team of engineers to ensure work is completed to schedule * Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures by interpreting the contract drawings to your section * Manage, supervise and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering work * Maintain good working relationship with the sub agent * Adopt and promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resources * Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availability * Regularly review the performance, development and training needs of subordinate staff * Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time You will: * Be experienced in working on bridges and/or road projects * Be HND, HNC or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering * Have a good understanding of civil engineering and will have worked on large civils projects * Have worked for a civils main contractor You will be looking to progress within your career and this will see you developed into a sub agent and project manager.
