| SECTION ENGINEER - OLYMPICS PROJECT - £30-40K + Package Our client is a leading civil engineering main contractor who deliver a full range of engineering activities through their specialist business units. With an annual turn over in excess of £3 billion they are well known within the industry for working on major projects and delivering these with their expert approach. Currently they are looking to recruit a section engineer with roads and bridges experience to work on an integral part of the 2012 Olympics. As the section engineer you will: * Oversee a section of the works and a team of engineers to ensure work is completed to schedule * Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures by interpreting the contract drawings to your section * Manage, supervise and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering work * Maintain good working relationship with the sub agent * Adopt and promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resources * Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availability * Regularly review the performance, development and training needs of junior engineers You will: * Be experienced in working on bridge and road projects * Be HND, HNC or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering * Have a good understanding of civil engineering and construction methods * Have a steady job history You will be looking to progress within your career and this will see you developed into a sub agent and project manager.
