| Highway Engineer - Development Southampton Responsibilities: To undertake, and support the preparation of various aspects of highway design as part of development projects generally covered by Section 38 and 278 Agreements. Will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings, documents and reports required by Clients and Local Authorities. Responsible toPrincipal Engineers/Project Managers Education and Training *Chartered Engineer with appropriate experience; *Near Chartered with good and appropriate experience *Incorporated Engineer with good and appropriate experience Experience: You Will have to of been employed in a Highway Design Office and worked on highway design for development projects preferably through approval and detailed design stages. You will also need to be familiar in the application of Local Authority guidelines and Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents to development projects. Special Skills and Knowledge *Experienced in the use of MX/PDS and/or *Experienced in the use of Windes / Microdrainage *Experienced in the use of Autocad. *Ability to supervise technicians and engineers *Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties. Personality and Disposition *Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines. *Can be relied on to meet deadlines. *Committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience.
