| Mechanical Contract Manager - Edinburgh My client is a leading and well respected Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Contractor with a turnover of £80 million. They have orders on their books and are confident of achieving a turnover of £100 million by the end of the next financial year. The company is currently looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager. You must have a full mechanical background and experience of running projects in access of £5 million. The Role Attend internal pre-contracts meetings to ensure effective handover of all estimating information on contracts from the estimating phase of contract Work within set financial budgets and financial targets for awarded contract, and report on the financial status of each contract at monthly intervals Agree pre-contract lead-in activities with the Contract Team and ensure activities are actioned, resourced and completed within agreed timescales Ensure surveying activities are completed on time and all variations priced, delay notices issued and final accounts submitted without unnecessary delay Ensure credit control matters are addressed to ensure good cash flow to the company Provide advice to the Company Directors and other managers on contractual limitations and developments in the contractual field, relating to staff performance and contract performance The Person Full mechanical background within the building services, M&E installations arena Experience on projects of £3m plus Experienced in the production, and planning of the timing and accuracy of reports, installation and procurement programmes Experienced in managing the financial status of projects under their control for previous employer Ensuring all correspondence from consultants and clients is actioned accordingly Proven to consistently deliver good financial returns on projects, taking into account all relevant factors Provide Good motivation and morale of the Project team Package A fantastic package is on offer for the right candidate including a basic in the region 0f £38 - £42k but more importantly on going training and support from Director level can be expected.
