| The Architectural CAD Technician is responsible for preparing detailed working drawing packages and all associated details within an agreed programme period. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES "Preparation of working drawing packages using AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2007 to meet Building Regulation and NHBC Standards all in accordance with Banners A&E Brief. "The preparation of all necessary details and specifications to compliment the working drawing package. "The preparation of all additional details or information to ensure all site queries and queries raised via the Information Required Schedule (IRS) are clarified and dealt with promptly. "To visit development sites to assess the package which has been prepared (to enable future packages to be improved) and to assist in answering site queries. "To prepare and submit applications for Building Control and NHBC insurance purposes. "To liase with external consultants employed to work on the working drawing package (Engineer, M&E Consultant, Landscape Architect) to ensure that all information is accurate, co-ordinated and issued to meet the critical programme dates. "To attend the drawing check meeting for the package after issue, collate all comments and arrange for all consultants drawings to be amended and issued. "To liaise with Building Control Department and NHBC to ensure all their comments are received, the information collated and the drawings amended and issued. "To keep abreast and understand any amendments to legislation that may affect Banner's working drawing packages (including building regulations, NHBC regulations, etc). "To assist in the assessment of computer hardware and software that may benefit the Technical Working Drawing Department. "To assist in the preparation of Health & Safety Construction plans for development sites. "To prepare the necessary site services distribution plans (electric, gas, water, BT and cable) and arrange for their submission to statutory authorities and the receipt of detailed schemes and quotations including ex services which may require alteration, moving etc. "To arrange for the preparation of SAP Ratings in respect of development proposal. "Liaise with nominated suppliers (roof trusses, staircases, heating consultants, floor joists, etc) receiving their designs for incorporation within the working drawing package and signing off their working details. "To ensure site staff have sufficient information, technical support and site assistance in the construction of new developments. | ||
