| COMMISSIONING ENGINEER - Home Based MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or 3 years experience of hands on commissioning of Control & Protection systems for EHC Substations up to 400kV. (Detailed knowledge of PC driven automatic control systems enabling remote operation of EHV substations). Primary Responsibilities: 1.Carry out duties in accordance with standard company Quality Assurance procedures and Work Instructions. 2.Ensure that all testing is carried out with due regard to all current, National/ International Standards & Legislation and Contract Specification. 3.All work should be undertaken with due regard to Health & Safety, (SHEMPS), CDM Regulations and Environmental Procedures via the production of Risk Assessments/method statements as necessary to fulfil the Company's obligations, including working under live conditions and/or work with an emergency return to service condition imposed. 4.Carry out Inspection and Testing of Company's both in the UK and abroad. 5.Liaise with the Client, the Client's Test Engineer and relevant CL departments, as necessary, during all phases of the commissioning period. 6.Identify and prepare as necessary any specific test sheet requirements and ensure that copies of all generic test documentation are available at site. Ensure that all resulting commissioning documentation is fully completed and countersigned by client, in line with Company procedures. 8.Ensure that there is sufficient and correct test equipment available on site, to enable the specified tests to be carried out. 9.Ensure that all test equipment is properly maintained and protected whilst on site. 10.Mark-up all drawings, documentation to the "As Commissioned"/"As Installed" and return them to the Project Manager in line with Company procedures. 11.Be available to assist in times of peak load with Factory testing as necessary. 12.Assist Project Manager in development of commissioning plan and report progress against plan, forecasting hours to complete. 13.Attend site, internal and client meetings as required to report and contribute to all discussions on commissioning related topics. 14.Train other CL staff, as necessary, and as directed by commissioning team leader. 15.Perform appropriate duties as directed by Commissioning Team Leader/Project Manager. | ||
