| Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Bristol £35-45K We now require a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile projects where you will have the ability to receive and develop a brief and contribute to the development of the design and construction process. Job description The successful applicant will work as part of a new team to deliver medium to large scale projects in both the public and private sector. Principle functions will include: *Electrical design work for a range of projects *Liaise with other construction professionals *Leading small teams of engineers to deliver projects on time and to budget *Ensuring compliance with company quality systems *Calculate lighting levels within rooms, provide all electrical layout and establish power schemes *Coordinate with the Mechanical design engineer and issue all information to allow mechanical design to be completed *Liaise with the design team members to convey the requirements of the M&E service to them, as well as understanding the client brief *Write the specification for the project and establish the schedules for all equipment *Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings Candidate specification Candidates should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts mechanical engineering issues. Essential requirements: *BSc, BEng or HNC/D in related subject preferable *Experience and exposure of a range of electrical engineering solutions *Must have experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, data cabling and stand by electricity supplies design and specification *Previous client facing experience *Experience in the use of Amtech *A strong technical focus *Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required *Excellent written and oral communication skills Desirable requirements: *Chartered or on route to Chartership *Previous experience of leading small teams to deliver projects on time and to budget *Experience working in UK Electrical engineering involved in the lifecycles of projects *Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy *The ability to work on own initiative on smaller projects would be an advantage *ACAD Experience *Experience in the use of Hevacomp We offer you A competitive salary and monthly profit share scheme.
