| Junior Planner
My client is a leading support service and construction group, and is seen as a market leader across the UK. Their specialist sectors include education, health, social housing and urban regeneration. The group has a turnover in excess of £900mn.
This role is to work for the utilities division of the company. They work within the electric, gas, telecommunications and water sectors. In excess of 2100 of the companies 7000 employees are within this division, and it accounts for around £360mn of the groups' turnover. This gives some indication as to how important this division of the company is to the group as a whole.
Due to expansion and consistent project wins, the company is recruiting a Junior Planner. This is to be based at their new site office in North East London.
The role will include providing general planning support, along with data inputting duties in the first instance. The client is looking for a loyal employee who will stay with them for some time, as they want to train and develop the successful applicant so they can progress through the company. The client has a reputation for developing their staff and ensuring they reach their potential.
In terms of skills and experience required, you must have at least 1 years experience of working in a planning role. A construction background would hand you an advantage. You must though be IT literate, and proficient with MS Project. The environment at this site office is lively, so the client is looking for an outgoing person. You must be confident, motivated and have the desire to succeed.
The package on offer obviously depends on experience, but you can expect between £20,000 and £26,000 as a basic salary. There will also be benefits in addition.
