| My client is a well-known and respected M&E contractor within the UK. Currently working projects across varied arenas within the commercial / industrial sectors. They are currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with a contractor's background. As a company they are acting as Main Contractor on this project, which is a metal re-cycling facility based in Cumbria. They are looking for someone who is savvy and has worked for a MC before. They need to handle the sub-contactors and packages as well as someone who can deal direct with the client. There are tight programme restraints they also have a few issues with extensions. M+E experience is not required as the engineers on site can help on the technical side. Ideally someone who has the knowledge and experience of dealing with sub-contact packages, procurement, client control, managing the final accounts and costs.
