| An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding regional team providing professional highway services to its clients. The role title is - Highway Design Engineer and the successful applicant will work in a challenging and rewarding high performance environment working directly with the Highways team leader and looking after a skilled and diligent project team. Within this organisation there are significant opportunities for promotion. This is a Manchester Based position. In the role you will provide concise technical ability in the preparation of reports, designs, specifications and other requirements of the project briefs. You will also help promote strong client relationships based on confidence, honesty and trust. Requirements:- Honours Degree in Civil Engineering A Graduate Engineer with excellent experience in the design and delivery of highway schemes. Computer Literate (Word, Excel, MS Project) Experience in all aspects of highway design Working Knowledge of Highways Agency procedures and standards Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, particularly the CDM regulations Experience of delivery of schemes by modern procurement methods (e.g. ECI, D&B etc) Working knowledge of local Gov regulations and procedures. The Candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of:- A confident and professional manner An ability to show initiative and examples of creativity Team working/Leading Pro-active and integrated management style Inspirational and motivational qualities Strong analytical skills Highways Design Engineer If you can answer yes to all the above then we would like to hear from you right away.
