| Maritime Team Leader Qualifications Sought:Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with relevant discipline charter ship status. Experience Sought:Experienced at leading and managing profile Maritime design engineering projects. Experienced in management, development and growth of a Maritime Engineering team with International experience. JOB PROFILE Our client is involved a range of high profile and challenging projects within the UK, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Current regional projects range from the vast residential and leisure complex at Dubai Marina to the 350km Mafrag upgrade project, Immersed Tunnel and Desert Island, Infrastructure Master Planning design. JOB DESCRIPTION The role is a key managerial position within the Transportation Unit, Maritime engineering capability in the UK. The role will be responsible for supporting regional directors in enhancing operational capability and client delivery within the Maritime design Engineering discipline. *Lead various stages of maritime engineering projects including strategy evaluation, detailed appraisal, concept development, detailed design and administration of contracts. *Responsible as the Maritime Division's representative for projects with the overall commercial and technical running off the regional business. *You will be responsible for the management of a wide range of port and marine terminal projects. *Developing, growing and managing a functional Structural Engineering team. *You will be involved in the planning, design and construction of maritime structures including oil, gas, bulk materials; general cargo and container terminals, harbours, dredging, reclamation and breakwaters for clients world-wide. *Supporting and also leading on business development for regional Structural design engineering opportunities. *You will assist in leading, developing, motivating and managing a team of professionals. *Supporting the career and skill set development of junior engineers in line with business needs. *Compiling and presenting bid proposals with regional directors *Ensure that the Maritime Engineering function is aligned with the consultancies regional commercial objectives. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION The candidate will be experienced in leading Structural Highways Design Engineering likely to have been gained over a career of 15+ years. They will be experienced in team management, leadership, development and its growth. *Experience in leading Maritime engineering projects through their entire project life cycle. *Will have supported successful Business Development including involvement in building and establishing client relationships, new business acquisition and full project development. *Experience of compiling and presenting successful bid proposals *The candidate should be experienced from a consultancy background with overseas engineering experience important for any candidate to have experienced. *The candidate should have an engineering related degree with charter ship status. *Demonstrable commitment to delivery, fulfilling internal and external obligations and responsibilities.
