| Our client is a leading, and well-respected London Electrical Contractor, with a turnover of in excess of 15 Million Pounds. With a longstanding client base of the top interior fit-out contractors and main contractors they specialise in contracts of values between 500K to 4 Million. The company is currently looking to take on a contracts manager, experienced in running multi-million pound contracts, to support the current Contracts Team operating in central London. The main objective of the role will be to complement the existing Contracts teams to ensure all contracts undertaken are operating within set deadlines and to agreed budgets. The Role Management of individual project teams: comprising Project Managers, Surveyors, Buyers, CAD and administrative support staff from contract award to completion of the final account Ensure that all Contract Engineering functions are properly undertaken by Projects Engineers and professional standards are adhered to Attend and act as Chairperson at internal pre-contracts meetings to ensure effective handover of all estimating information on contracts from the estimating phase of contract Work within set financial budgets and financial targets for awarded contract, and report on the financial status of each contract at monthly intervals Agree pre-contract lead-in activities with the Contract Team and ensure activities are actioned, resourced and completed within agreed timescales Exercise financial management checks, including reporting on the contract's financial status on a monthly basis against pre-set budgets by comparing allowances against actual expenditure; investigating and reporting discrepancies to Company Directors Ensure surveying activities are completed on time and all variations priced, delay notices issued and final accounts submitted without unnecessary delay Complete checks on all contract activities including purchasing, surveying, contract management, to identify whether company systems are being adhered to The Person Experienced in the production, and planning of the timing and accuracy of reports, installation and procurement programmes for projects of values to 4 million Experienced in managing the financial status of projects under their control Proven to consistently deliver good financial returns on projects, taking into account all relevant factors Provide good motivation and morale to the project team Points of Attraction for the Role The entry point of this role is into the senior management team of a leading electrical contractor Excellent chance of eventual directorship within a highly successful and financially solid Electrical Contractor Excellent basic salary circa 55-60K, and bonus scheme HumRes is a specialist recruitment consultancy with an extremely successful M&E building services division.
