| PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYOR (SMALL WORKS) - ESSEX - £40-50K + PACKAGE My client has substantial experience in working with individuals and organisations representing all interests in the affordable housing sector. We enjoy lead partner status with the Housing Corporation and are a primary framework partner with the UK's leading Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), working with over 60 housing associations across the country. Their specialist Affordable Housing & Regeneration Division covers a range of expertise spanning across design, planning, community consultation and sustainability issues. My client is currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for their Small Works Dept in the Essex area to work on New Build and refurb projects comprising the construction of 40 houses on 11 sites in Southend and Shoeburyness and 9 flats within an Edwardian Manor House including refurbishment of the main building. PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYOR (SMALL WORKS) - ESSEX - £40-50K + PACKAGE Duties: Placement of orders in line with procurement schedule and commercial parameters and opportunities. Regular assessment of work, variation assessment and payment recommendation in line with sub-contract conditions. Timely submissions of valuations in accordance with contract requirements to maximise profit and cash flow. Regular reporting of accurate cost value reconciliations. The successful candidate will be have the ability to Forecast, Identifying risks and opportunities. Identify tender risks and record on risk register. Identify items that may change or quantise that are correct and price to maximise our return and highlight these areas at Adjudication. The candidate will be able to select subcontractors based on certain criteria ie work content, size, location and workload and review design and build projects with Small Works Manager, to identify ways to improve buildability, save costs and / or improve the product issued to the Client. Career Opportunities: Progression to Small Works Department Commercial Manager. Minimum HND in Building studies or equivalent, preferably possess BSc Hons in QS.
