| Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor - Olympics - East London Our client is part of a group of companies encompassing building and civil engineering capabilities. With building, rail, water, nuclear, metro and coastal projects under their belt they are a true picture of complete and traditional values. Recently integrated with another large company our client has applied these capabilities on an even larger scale. Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor - Olympics - East London The civil engineering arm of the business turnovers 200 million and handle projects from 1 million to 75 million across the infrastructure market. Constructing and maintaining these contracts gives the company a structured and client oriented feel. Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor - Olympics - East London A recent award winner of the ' Civil Engineering Contractor of the Year' award our client encompasses traditional values and a pro active work ethic popular with repeat clients. THE ROLE: To meet the demand of work our client has secured they are looking to recruit a senior/managing surveyor to be site based on an Olympic Bridge project in Stratford, East London. The job comprises of the construction of a number of permanent land, foot and highway bridges, and also the addition of works to existing bridges. The work started in March 2008 and is set to continue into 2009. The project value in total is at 61 million and is split into separate parts. As well as the structuring of the bridges these structures will have reinforced earth retaining walls, drainage associated with bridgework and service installation. There will be other associated works surrounding the project including reinforced concrete structures in filled with a lightweight fill and utilities. Your job will be as the number two on a 30 million bridge package. You will be responsible for a particular package of works and therefore must be proficient in all aspects of NEC contracts.
