| PRE-COMMENCEMENT BID MANAGER - CHELMSFORD - £55-60K + PACKAGE My client has substantial experience in working with individuals and organisations representing all interests in the affordable housing sector. We enjoy lead partner status with the Housing Corporation and are a primary framework partner with the UK's leading Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), working with over 60 housing associations across the country. "Innovation is integral to all our work not just the technical, design and construction fronts. It extends to the joint venture arrangements we engineer, the consultation processes we implement, the community development structures we support, and the shared ownership schemes we offer." My client is currently looking for a Pre-Commencement Bid Manager to be based at their Chelmsford Offices. PRE-COMMENCEMENT BID MANAGER - CHELMSFORD - £55-60K + PACKAGE We are looking for a highly motivated Pre-commencement Bid Manager with significant experience in Quantity Surveying, looking to further development their skills within Pre-commencement. The role will be office based in Chelmsford but will involve travel within the M25 area. Successful applicants will preferably possess a BSc in Surveying and/or membership of a recognised construction body (MCIOB, RICS) and must have experience of working on new build affordable social housing projects. Applicants possessing developer experience may also be suitable . The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of JCT and other forms of contract and possess a strong appreciation of project processes and risk management. Commercial awareness and the ability to carry out accurate cost / value forecasting and risk management are essential along with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Applicants must have both a financial and construction background. The successful applicant will be required to attend client interviews, collate and control the bid, assess and distribute the workload and act as the key contact between GTP and the client. There are opportunities to progress to Senior Surveyor/Commercial Manager within the company.
