The position available is for Civil Engineer working for environmental engineering team covering a wide variety of projects primarily wind energy, development, waste facilities Main responsibilities include: *As part of an environmental team this is a key design role primarily in the area of wind energy and infrastructure, preparation of design work relating to highway and infrastructural design *Projects will take an environmental slant and will include waste facilities and earthworks *Project management skills will be utilized on site to ensure that projects are running to schedule and to specification *Excellent opportunity to work as part of a growing international team offering a centre of excellence within environmental and civil engineering *You should have a broad range of design knowledge and will need to be familiar with current design standards and technologies, and able to apply this knowledge. *The ideal candidate will be an engineer with a client focused approach to engineering design and will be required to deliver innovative solutions to waste projects from schematic through to final construction, including specification preparation and site supervision management. *Will act as lead designer on projects, taking on significant elements of the detailed design. You may also act as designer as part of a project team working with clients, contractors and other Engineers as required. *You should have excellent project management skills, knowledge, experience and competency in the areas of design and associated legislative requirements, experience of range of building solutions and projects. You should have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills are pre-requisite for this position. Excellent computer skills and in particular CAD / modeling software are also a requirement. *Liaison with other disciplines (highways, water, building, regulators and planners). *Monitoring progress of work. Your qualifications and experience: *Applicants will be Degree qualified in Civil Engineering and have obtained Chartered Engineer status with a relevant Institution or working towards same and will have 5 + year's relevant experience. *Skill set will cover some or all of the following:- drainage; civil structural design; earthworks; contract. *You will also have significant experience within design is required also preferably experience working within Environment industry.
