| A cardiac physiologist is sought to provide comprehensive cardiac investigations and data analysis to patients. The successful candidate will provide local GPs and Clinics with Echo and ECG services with full support from an in house Consultant Cardiologist. This role offers a pension, excellent remuneration and flexible working hours/days. Responsibilities: *Supervision and training of trainees. *Patient management and preparation for procedures. *Recording electrocardiograms and entering data. *Performing exercise tolerance tests. *Performing cardiac ultrasound tests. *Performing lung function tests. *Undertaking Trans-telephonic ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. *Undertaking Trans-telephonic cardiac event monitoring. *Undertaking Holter ECG application and analysis. *Carrying out tilt testing. *Dealing with both manual and computerised ECG measurements both on and off site (occasional). *Training, which may occasionally be off-site. *Ensuring a high standard of patient/client care. *Urine testing and blood sampling. *Quality control checks relating to ECGs including checking of ECG data against Muse Transmittal forms and identifying and rectifying ECG queries. *To supply emergency life support including defibrillation if necessary. *Management of ECG data including entry onto Excel spreadsheets. *Use of the CATS system. *Creation of procedural algorithms and draft procedural guidelines. *Maintenance of the Crash Cart at all times. *General administrative procedures as necessary. *Maintain and update professional knowledge including new procedures and techniques. Requirements: *Ideally hold one of the following qualifications, HTEC or BTEC in MPPM, FSCST, MSCST or ASCST. *BSc in Cardiac Physiology BSE and ILS accreditation are desirable. *Experience in the areas of ECG and ECHO. | ||
