A leading and established UK Architectural & Engineering design practice, now seeks an experienced Senior Architect for the position of Associate Architect in their Birmingham office. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in taking projects from inception to completion and have the maturity and necessary skills to lead and manage teams and delegate project assignments. You will take on a lead role as a team leader designing creative sustainable solutions for multi-disciplinary projects liaising with clients ensuring expectations are met. You should have considerable experience in a variety of sectors and have a flexible, enthusiastic approach that will motivate those around you. The firm's main sectors are in the areas of Defence, Law & Order and Education. Key Responsibilities: *Management of projects from £1m to £100m, meeting client objectives regarding quality, cost & programme *Execution of large projects with defined design, cost and programme parameters *Business Development - Build and maintain client relationships, helping to identify business opportunities *Effective self-management as you may be allocated more than one project at a time *Provide technical input and supervise technical input by other team members *Prepare quality submissions and offers with the support of the Associate Director Requirements: ARCUK registered Architect with a good portfolio of completed work demonstrating good design skills & technical knowledge. AutoCAD proficient with sound knowledge of UK Building regulations. Experience of education/schools projects a distinct advantage *Qualified to Degree level in Architecture and ideally working as a RIBA registered Part III Architect for ideally a minimum of three years *Preferably you will have a track record in managing projects from inception through to completion, ideally in the UK *Be enthusiastic, committed, driven, ambitious and a key team player who is flexible and focused on delivering for the client *Possess an eye for quality, have a strong design flair and accomplished technical skills *Experience in managing, motivating and coordinating teams of Architects & Technicians *Comfortable dealing with clients and contractors *Strong communication and inter-personnel skills *Self motivated, can operate on own initiative with considerable organizational skills with a clear ambition to succeed in your career Benefits: a generous package and superb career prospects are available to the successful candidate.
