Vacancy Job Title: Mechanical Building Services Engineer (all Grades from Junior through to Associate level)

Duties/Responsibilities:

To include:

Design, specification and installation overview of all Mechanical Services for Buildings.

Condition Surveys

Conceptual design

Detailed Design

Calculations and preparation of drawings.

Qualifications:

Membership of or actively pursuing membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers

Essential skills:

Experience in design of Mechanical Building Services preferably whilst employed by a Consulting Engineer or Design and Build Contractor.

Familiarity with Low Energy / Low Carbon technologies and solutions.

Familiarity with Passive Design methods and solutions.

Familiarity with Part L Building Regs, Planning Requirements , Renewable Energy technologies, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes.

Familiarity with IES or TAS simulation software and SBEM an advantage.

Familiarity with Hevacomp software for calculations

Familiarity with AutoCad an advantage BUT the vacancies are NOT Cad Operator grade, rather Engineer grade.

Candidates with backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering and not Mechanical Building Services are unlikely to be appropriate.

Vacancies exist at all Grades within the Manchester Office.
