Health & Safety / CDM Co-ordinator

Our client, an International Property Consultant, currently requires a Senior/ Associate Director CDM Co-ordinator in Manchester to work across all sectors but principally on commercial developments, stadia and hotel fit out schemes ranging in value from £100,000 to £200m.

Based in Manchester you will provide specific and accurate advice on all Health and Safety matters, covering all aspects within the new CDM regulations, reviewing contractors Health & Safety on site and raising awareness of Health & Safety in general for their existing high profile client base as well as developing new client contacts.

As the Senior CDM Co-ordinator you will need to have detailed knowledge of the Construction (Design Management) Regulations and have proven experience practicing as a Planning Supervisor / CDMC within the Construction industry. As a minimum you will be NEBOSH qualified to Construction Certificate level, a member of IOSH / IIRSM and the APS and have a thorough knowledge of the application of the CDM Regulations with at least 3-5 years proven industry experience.

You will be involved with substantial construction projects so it is essential that you have a solid background in the construction industry with excellent communication and customer-facing skills as well as the relevant professional qualifications.

While there is a great deal of interface with clients, contractors and their own project managers and professional employees the majority of your time will be spent unsupervised so you must be self sufficient, and resourceful, with excellent man management and time management skills. This role will suit a self-motivated person, and team player who is seeking a new and exciting challenge.
