Executive Cost Manager / Associate Director Cost Management / Executive Level Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor Partner Designate

Our client, a global property consultancy offering cost management, project management and management consulting services to leading international clients currently requires an executive cost manager in its sports and stadia team.

Your role will be to lead and deliver in all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion to achieve the highest standards of professional competence. As a senior quantity surveyor / cost manager you will attend client meetings at early stages of projects, carry out high level feasibility studies on £100m-£300m projects, maintain and develop good relationships with clients and help develop the stadia division by recognizing and developing new business opportunities.

In addition there is a requirement in this role to manage and assist in developing and appraising other quantity surveyors / cost managers within the stadia quantity surveying team. You will be required to act as a supervisor for current graduate quantity surveyors and work with them to achieving competences for the APC.

Projects the stadia cost management team are currently involved with include a £300m residential and sports centre development on Brighton sea front, two high profile football stadia for leading UK clubs, and one in Africa, a race track paddock and pitlane redevelopment and a 58,000 seat stadium in Abu Dhabi.

While the role is London based it will involve travel throughout the UK , Europe, the Middle East and the USA.

Our client requires a minimum of 5 years post chartered cost management / quantity surveying experience, preferably MRICS, within a consultancy, contractor or developer. Sports and stadia sector experience is preferable but not essential. A key requirement is the ability to think on your feet in meetings and respond to questions with confidence and the ability to communicate well with the architects and engineers.
