The new site features all the same cutting edge technology, such as the AI searching facility but focuses solely on the engineering industry, where it aims to make the process of recruiting skilled engineering personnel easier than ever before.
Niche job boards such as Engineering4Professionals are undoubtedly, the way forward for online recruitment, they offer a focused and dedicated environment for the benefit of both the jobseeker and the recruitment agency.
On Engineering4Professionals.com, candidates will benefit from a plethora of services aimed at simplifying the challenging task of finding a new job, with quick and easy searching functions, an advice section - not to mention top quality recruitment agencies.
Agencies will benefit from competitively priced vacancy posting options, various promotional opportunities in the form of banners, buttons and company profiles, and very soon, advanced searching capabilities on the site's CV database - all this from a well respected online brand within the recruitment industry.
Senior Account Manager of the 4Professionals brand, James Davies comments, ‘Our first site, Construction4Professionals proved to be extremely successful and we felt that the online recruitment market would benefit from a site dedicated solely to the engineering industry. We already have the knowledge and technology from our completion and successful launch of Constuction4professionals and wanted to pass this onto agencies and jobseekers within the engineering sector'.
New CSCS Card for Professionals
There has been a recent addition to the CITB's CSCS card scheme and it's called a PQP card which stands for Professionals Qualified Persons Card. This new card has been created to accommodate the scores of professional staff that are not site based but have health and safety responsibilities such as consultants. The new PQP card is part of the schemes drive to have a fully qualified work force by 2010. So far there are already 949,093 CSCS card holders and affiliated cardholders and this figure is growing everyday.
The CSCS scheme was launched over ten years ago to combat poor practice within the industry and to reduce the amount of ‘cowboy builders' functioning within the trade. A number of well known construction organisations are involved with the current CSCS card and this is still true for the PQP card attracting partnerships with RIBA, ICES and RICS to name a few.
As with CSCS, applicants will still be required to take the existing health and safety tests as well as a Higher Managerial Test which will qualify them for the PQP card. As from January 2007 all CSCS applicants trying to obtain the level 5 CSCS card will now need to take the new Higher Managerial Test, these new rules will add more credibility to the scheme and will allow a higher standard of regulation.
Professionals in the construction industry will find these cards extremely useful especially as they are now becoming more and more of an industry standard giving employers and employees piece of mind when working on and off site.
Those wishing to apply for the new PQP card should call CITB- Construction SkillsDirect service who runs the scheme on 0870 850 5262 to book a visit or visit http://www.citb-constructionskills.co.uk/skillsdirectfor more information.
Construction4professionals is dedicated entirely to the construction industry and as such utilises its position to communicate the latest schemes and initiatves like the CSCS and other programmes that are aimed at improving the industry for both construction professionals and their employers.
Are there any construction schemes that you're aware of that would benefit from more exposure? If there's something you'd like to discuss, a current construction related issue, perhaps something regarding the environment, health & safety or training for example, then we would really like to hear from you please email general@construction4professionals.com.
