 Design Manager - Norfolk*Relocating Candidates Considered*This is a fantastic new opportunity to work with a highly regarded employer, who have both an exceptional reputation within the industry with their clients and employees a like.Due to further business success and an additional pipeline of land already secured with plans for development they are now looking to increase their resources, one aspect being to further develop their design team with the appointment of a Design Co-ordinator / Design Manager to be based out of their Norfolk or Suffolk Offices. Main responsibilities will include:-Ensuring design is co-ordinated, cost effective, buildable and complies with company contractual obligations.-Assist in the bid process from a design capability.-Manage and set targets to ensure delivery of design to agreed timescales.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:-Previous work history for a Main Contractor, working in the capacity of Design Co-ordinator or Design Manager (Essential).-Experience working on main stream construction projects such as Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Leisure, Industrial or MOD assets. (their workload in the Residential Sector is very limited and hence such project experience is not of interest for this vacancy).-Ideally experience in both tender stage and live works on projects.-A Technical or Architectural or Design Engineering background would be ideal, however should you not posses such background you must be prepared to develop your knowledge and experience technically within these aspects, which the company is open to assisting with.-Good attention to detail and working design, ensuring initial design can be adapted to meet on-site conditions.-Excellent written and communication skills.-A proactive attitude to business in assisting with progressing the company further.The ideal candidate will receive:-Up to £45,000 Basic (Dependent on experience)-Company Car-Healthcare-Pension-Bonus-Fuel CardApply now for further details.
