Risk Manager - South EastOur client is one of the world's largest construction & consultancies, employing over 2000 staff, with a turnover in excess of £70 million and an expanding office base throughout the rest of the world.A fantastic opportunity exists within the consultancy services division of the Hampshire office for a Risk and Issues Manager. The role will encompass producing proposals for risk and/or value management workshops, drafting procedures for implementing risk and/or value management within a varied client group. More junior risk professionals will be considered with a view to receiving dedicated training to progress into a more senior/managerial role in the future.Your home office will be based in Hampshire, but travel will be necessary.Responsibilities:- Running varied workshops, pulling together subsequent reports.- Carrying out any associated sensitivity analysis, risk modelling or option appraisal.- Assist in actively marketing risk and value management services, promoting the core services of the company as well as the consultancy areas to both new and existing clients.Requirements:- Degree in construction related discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Project Management, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.- Ideally membership of RICS, APM, IVM.- Qualification by experience will also be considered.- It is important that you are able to demonstrate an aptitude for investigation, interrogation, intelligence and a keen interest to develop into risk and value management.- Must be able to understand building and civil engineering design concept, cost plans and procurement routes.- Excellent report writing skills.- Risk analysis and modelling skills.- Experience of public speaking.- Facilitation skills in risk/value management.- Experience of Project Management on site/office.- Experience of Commercial and Project Control management.- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
