A vacancy has arisen for a Mobile Technician (Multi Skilled, Mechanical bias) to cover a number of sites within the West End, London. Purpose: To organise, direct and follow up the work within the purview of the designated contract areas to ensure smooth operation of all site management with regard to buildings, assets, and projects with most effective, efficient, minimum time and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all direct and indirect clients.Responsible To: Contract ManagerLocation: London MobilePrinciple Accountabilities: To optimize the efficiency of a the contract, by organizing, coordinating, controlling and supervising the day to day activities at the jobsite in accordance to the plans and directions of the Contract Manager.Responsible for efficiently and economically implementing the assigned tasks from commencement to completion in full compliance to applicable standards and specifications, within the given time frame, including monitoring and regular reporting of the overall progress.Ensure effective man power and sub contract management, the justifications use of all other resources such as materials, tools, equipments etc and arrange to report in time any shortage of these resources.Oversee and carry out the service and maintenance of a vide range of equipment deployed at our client's contracts when requested.Ensure correct estimate of costs, for works to be executed at all jobs, in order to eliminate any chance of losses and to promote revenue earning.Responsible for the preparation and submission of all quotations.Coordinate with the concerned technicians to prepare the estimates and submit relevant quotationsTo monitor closely the ability, efficiency and tact of each tradesmen and arrange follow up accordinglyAttend to emergency / urgent works, when contacted and informed by the Customer Response Centre (Help Desk), employing crew from within the given group of tradesmen.Report to Contract Manager the overall activities on daily basis and bring to notice any difficulty to execute the job effectivelyAssisting the Contract Manager and Mobile Engineers during the site visits to ensure complete supervision of both in-house teams and subcontractorsMethodically follow up assigned work orders, update and close upon completion of jobEnsure that labour hours are recorded and booked on daily basis and subsequently matched with the clocked hours.Arrange for site inspection from time to time to ensure standard of work and completion scheduleEnsure that the client or end user endorses, by way of signature on work order form, approval of job undertakenCheck the specifications of the material for proper usage of the suitable material for each jobCoordinate with other teams ensuring satisfactory completion of all work requests and tasks of multi trades.Perform the clerical duties as required by the job Keep developing and maintain relationships with all clients and potential new customers.Adherence to all current company procedures and the IMS systemDisplay a sound knowledge of M & E installations and some building fabric related works.Ensure that Periodic Progress Reports are submitted as required by the Contract ManagerQualifications and Experience:C&G / Diploma Certificate or equivalent technical qualifications (HNC/HND/NVQ)L8 certification for cooling towersExperience in construction or building services of which must be able to demonstrate experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a multi skilled work environmentExperience in estimations and quotationsA reasonable level of computer literacy in the more common applications & CMMSFluent in written and spoken EnglishHave good leadership, team building and communication skillsHold a valid driving licenseGood knowledge of maintenance materials related to the specialised tradeAn overall knowledge of other trade worksBenefits:On call allowanceReimbursed work travel zones 1 & 2Stakeholder PensionAXA PPP after 6 months
