 My client is a major contractor working exclusively in the commercial defence, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, and retail sectors. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Welwyn Garden City. The office is based within their South East Construction Region and is able to deliver all types of projects utilising all forms of procurement across the area. Projects will be within the health education, commercial and industrial sectors valued from between £5million to £15million. If successful you will be responsible to lead and provide advice on the commercial elements of the contract with particular focus on managing cost and value and tracking of contractual changes. Requirements:- Main contractor background - Overseen projects from £5m to £15m- Experience of JCT and/or NEC is essential - Good knowledge of monthly reporting including cost and value- Ability to manage subcontract accounts including procurement- Good communication skills and able to develop new relationships - RICS is desirable Salary will be £45,000 to £55,000 + car / car allowance, BUPA and other standard benefits.If you feel you have the relevant experience for this role please contact Stephen O'Connell on 01189 522240.
