 A main contractor with a reputation for excellence, currently has a requirement for a Senior Construction Planner to be based in Central London. They have recently won several large, high-profile projects and are now actively looking to expand their southern team.Our client is looking to employ a Senior Planner to help with a large portion of the planning function in London. Although this isn't a management role, they are seeking a "self-starter" that is capable of working under minimal supervision (although a full support network will be in place) and capable of managing a team of 2-3 junior planners when required. Projects will typically be new build and refurbs worth between £10-£50m each, including Commercial, Education and Student Accommodation.The position will be roughly 75% tender and 25% site based with responsibilities including creating detailed cost and resource-loaded project plans, monitoring & updating progress, progress reporting, critical path analysis, etc. Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experience:- At least 10 years planning experience within the construction sector with main contractor exposure.- Combination of site and tender experience and capable of being able to visualise a project on site at any given stage of completion.- Management experience would be an advantage.- Proficiency with Asta PowerProject software.- Experience working in London would be an advantage- Capable of working under minimal supervision.- Good communication and team-working skills.- Eligible to work in the UK.In return, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary dependent upon experience, roughly between £48,000 and £60,000 per annum plus executive car/allowance, pension, health, etc.Services advertised by Project Resource are that of an employment business and/or agency.
