Our client has a new role for a Safe Systems of Works Writer to be based at our AWE location. The role will be accountable for the following; 1. With assistance from site based supervision where necessary, to write method statements for work to be carried out by the clients workforce. 2. To carry out and write up Task-based Risk Assessments for these tasks. Visits will be necessary to the actual workplace to ascertain risks to be addressed.3. Carry out supplementary risk assessments as required for COSHH/ Manual Handling/ Working at height/ PPE/RPEI HAYs/ WBV4. Incorporate the Clients Facility Workplace Risk Assessment.5. Combine all the above into a Safe system of Work and submit this for approval by the Client's Facility Manager or his nominee. 6. Incorporate any comments receive from the Client and resubmit as necessary7. Review Safe Systems of Work prepared by Subcontractors for suitability of use on AWE site and provide feedback to the Subcontractor as necessary.8. This role will require the candidate to occasionally access high-security, explosive, Beryllium and radiological working areas. 9. Whilst most of the tasks will be Mechanical or Electrical based, there will be a need to cover Building & Civil trades.Qualifications and Experience:*The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of safety and quality.*Good, all round knowledge of engineering disciplines egElectrical, Mechanical and Building and Civil (ExTrade). *Knowledge of electrical instilallation is required.*Be familiar with principles of Risk Assessment*Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer software.*The following would be an advantage though not essential.* Experience of work at AWE, be an AWE Accredited Risk AssessorBenefits:£24-£2700 salary depending upon experienceGrade 6 company car or allowance25 days holidayCompany PensionAXA PPP after 6 months service
