Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be required to lead a commercial team of Quantity Surveyors in the Midlands region. Due to a strong forward order book and recent tender success, you will deliver a range of schemes ranging from £1m to £20m in value, including major highway schemes under ECI and Design and Build contracts. The successful Commercial Manager will have strong leadership skills and a bias towards fully co-operative team working, together with a successful track record, preferably with a significant period at Commercial Manager level within a regional civil engineering contractor. Requirements: - Main contractor background within a civil engineering environment- Commercial experience on civil engineering projects with experience at a senior level - Commercially astute with excellent negotiating skills - Team player with good communication skills and an approachable yet assertive style - Extensive knowledge of NEC and ICE forms of contract - Minimum qualification HND/HNC, ideally Degree qualified with professional qualification (RICS/ICES) This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company with a strong forward order book.
