 My client is a major construction and infrastructure contractor. They provide highly specialised expertise and sustainable solutions to ensure aviation projects are delivered to cost and to the highest standards of health and safety. From the design and delivery of major transportation hubs to specialist concrete paving, runway rehabilitation and airside utility services.Due to an increase in a number of larger value tenders they are expanding the team and are looking for an experienced Cost Planner. Main purpose of roleAs senior cost planner you will be responsible for cost plans and estimates for construction and infrastructure projects. Providing key input and support to the bid approval and submission processes in accordance with deadlines.Experience Required:- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field- Experienced in producing cost plans for large, complex construction and infrastructure schemes (ideally in Airports sector) - Demonstrable technical knowledge required to be able to review, check, and comment on drawings and contract data for risk and opportunity, alternatives and innovation, and compliance with contract requirements- Broad experience over various sectors and procurement and contract types (ideally NEC3) - Experienced in numerical and analytical tasks comprising data interpretation - Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts both orally and in written form- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills and the ability to convince senior colleagues of the need to develop solutions to the benefit of the businessA salary from £55,000 to £63,000 with car entitlement is available for candidates with the right experience.
