 Position: Commercial ManagerLocation: YorkshireSalary: Up to £55,000 + Car or Allowance & BenefitsJob Ref: JB1-53870You will manage and lead a team of Quantity Surveyors in a region covering Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire. Due to a strong forward order book and recent tender success, you will deliver a range of schemes ranging from £1m to £20m in value, including major highway schemes under ECI and Design and Build contracts.The successful Commercial Manager will have strong leadership skills and a bias towards fully co-operative team working, together with a successful track record, preferably with significant period at Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager level within a regional civil engineering contractor.Requirements: - Main contractor background within a civil engineering environment- Commercial experience on civil engineering projects with experience at a senior level - Commercially astute with excellent negotiating skills - Team player with good communication skills and an approachable yet assertive style - Extensive knowledge of NEC and ICE forms of contract - Minimum qualification HND/HNC, ideally Degree qualified with professional qualification (RICS/ICES) This is an excellent opportunity to join a true market leader and work in a stable company with a strong forward order book.
