Senior Technical Manager - MiddlesexThe Company:My client is a leading provider of bespoke Private and Social Housing, they also have an impressive industry reputation for redeveloping Brownfield and redundant sites and preserving Britain's architectural heritage by restoring important buildings.The Role:You will be based at their office in Middlesex working as a (No2) reporting to the Technical Director, with responsibility for the technical department, managing both pre-construction and live works, working on various Private and Social Housing Projects. Requirements / Desired Experience:-Making all technical, engineering and ecological enquiries with Planning Authorities, HighwayAuthorities, Drainage Companies, Statutory Companies, including the Environment Agency.-Preparing a detailed technical planning report for both the Commercial and Land Directors For costing purposes and technical report for viability study.-Instructing Consultant Structural and Civil Engineers to provide ground report and foundation recommendations.-Instructing all exploratory investigations and surveys.-Involvement in discussions with RSLs regarding social/affordable housing provision.-Ensuring the company is actively engaged in remediation and reclamation works to enable development to take place on contaminated and derelict, brown field sites. -Co-ordination of the designs of all engineering matters relating to developments, including removal/remediation of contamination where necessary, roads, sewers, pumping stations, balancing lagoons and tanks, (in conjunction with Flood Risk Assessments), earth moving schemes, foundation designs, and site investigations.-Co-ordination of the architectural designs for both standard and new house types; ensuring compliance with CfSH levels 3/4, new NHBC/ Building Regulation requirements and Secure by Design implications.-Liaison with all relevant Highway and Drainage Authorities to obtain all necessary approvals and arrange Legal Agreements under Section 278, 38, 104, 106 etc. including all Bonds and Easements.-Liaison with Planning Authorities to ensure that both Building Regulations and Planning conditions and requirements are complied with.-Formulating sewer requisitions, diversion of public footpaths, stopping up orders for highways and public open space agreements.-Formulating Contract Documents e.g. Appointment Documents, Health and Safety, Method Statements, Collateral Warranties etc.-Adoption of all roads, sewers, and public open spaces upon completion and the arrangement of all relevant Bond releases.
