 Design Manager - Rail - Cardiff*Relocation Candidates Considered*CompanyThis business is a leading main contractor in both Building and Civil Engineering markets; they provide full multi-disciplinary engineering services, combining design, implementation and commissioning.The RoleDue the recently securing a new project contract an exciting opportunity has arose for an experienced Civls / Rail Design Manager to join the team based in Cardiff.You will be working on a variety of railway works including; Signalling schemes, Rail Civils, SPT Walkways, Station Platform works and bridge strengthening, as well as demolition of existing signal boxes. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design deliverables, compliance with standards and legislation, value engineering, directing design teams, management of design change, defining technical scopes, manage effective delivery of design programme, assess the design requirements and chair design development and progress review meetings.RequirementsTo be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:-Previous experience in the role of a Design Manager with a employment history with a Main Contractor.-Previous experience working on Rail projects in at least one of the following disciplines (Rail Civils, Signalling, OHL, Rail Structures, Rail Platforms, Rail Bridges, Rail track renewal).-Experience upholding the following responsibilities listed above.-Project experience including both tender stage and live works. -A relevant industry related degree or diploma.-Good Written & Communication skillsRemuneration-Up to £45,000 Basic Salary-Company car or Car Allowance-Pension-25 Days HolidayPlease call Tom Buffery at Project Resource on 0121 712 6600 to discuss further.Ref: 1-53660Services advertised by Project Resource Ltd are those of an agency and/or an employment business*please note that Project Resource offer a referral fee for any candidate(s) you recommend to us that we place in a job.
