Our client is successful and well-respected consultancy, operating in over fifty countries and across a range of infrastructure- and property-related sectors. They provide a broad range of services throughout the project lifecycle, delivering cost and programme management expertise to help companies make the most of their capital investments.
One of their major service lines is Project Planning, working with their clients to establish and track project schedules, and ensure that projects are delivered on time. A recent restructuring has created the position of Planning Manager to manage and lead this service line. A director-level position, you’ll be responsible for all Planning and Project Controls services across the UK. The role is focussed around two main areas:
1. client and business development and commission management;
2. development and training of the Planning team.
There will also be a smaller element of hands-on planning delivery, in support of key clients or major commissions.
The position enjoys high-visibility and the support of the executive board. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career and take this team to the next level. The role is based in the North East of England, with some travel across the UK and also Europe.
In order to be considered, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- a strong track record working in the UK as a Planning Manager (or Project Controls Manager), in the consultancy sector;
- proven ability to mentor, manage, and develop teams of Project Planners;
- excellent ability to engage with clients and develop new business opportunities;
- high degree of experience in the industrial, civil infrastructure or construction sectors;
- a broad understanding of the principles of project risk management;
- familiarity with Primavera Planning tools.
The salary for the role will be in the range of £60k - £75k + bonus + comprehensive benefits package.
