 Senior Project Manager required to work for one of the UK's leading main contractors.This client operates on a National basis and have a strong reputation in the South West an Wales Regions. They have established themselves in the Devon and Cornwall markets over the last couple of years and opened a Regional office in Exeter recently.They have successfully secured a number of tenders ranging in value from £5million - £20million and now need a Project Manager to run between 1-3 projects.Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for the project from inception to completion, including pre contract, planning and client liaison responsibilities.Roles & Responsibilities* Ensuring maximisation of commercial return whilst maintaining and developing client relationships via service levels and quality of the management process.* To oversee, manage and coordinate the planning and design process, as well as procurement and project team members to ensure that the information flow and progress achieve the necessary deadlines.* Maintaining and enhancing a professional approach to clients, leading to increased business opportunity.* Reporting on progress, profitability and risk.The Candidate* Proven track record in the management of schemes in the Building sectors up to £20 million.* Proven operational/commercial skills gained with a small, medium or major building contractor. * Must possess an excellent understanding of the contracting process as well as the ability to manage and develop effective relationships with clients at an Executive level.* Able to represent the Company at pre contract meetings and be seen to add value to the Management team.* Good knowledge of costs. Commercially aware.
