 Finishing Foreman / Manager - Edinburgh - Immediate Start - Temp to Perm, U2447 My client is one of the twelve regional businesses. It provides a comprehensive construction service throughout England and Scotland. They have a high percentage of negotiated work and repeat business which is a reflection on the relationships that we build with our clients working on projects both large and small. The project is a newbuild Hotel Library in Edinburgh. I am looking for someone with a strong finishing and Internals background. preferably from a trade background to oversee a team of joiners. Responsibilities: * Liaising with Senior Project Manager and Director on daily issues and progress * To finish and snag all rooms to client satisfaction safely and on programme. * Organising subcontractors * Troubleshoot any problems * Issue and check permits * Ensure they are keeping to the programme * Carry out inductions (site rules) for all new workers arriving on site * Allocation of labourers tasks for the day * Ensure health and safety issues are attended and followed: PPE and equipment * Ensure all rubbish and unwanted materials are removed from the site * Organise skip exchanges * Solve any issues with technical drawings/specification * Liaise with surveyors and architects * Ensure daily allocation sheets and daily diary are completed * Check attendance records against people on site Candidates must have.
