Company Description

Our client is a national private company who offer and provide housing for private clients and local government. This role would encompass working within their housing division that caters for vulnerable adults. They are now keen to recruit a suitably experienced or qualified Local Property Manager.  

 

Job Description:

This role provides direct support and management to properties and tenants in the Peterborough area. There are also some properties in Norwich to be covered. 

The role requires the Manager to manage their own caseload and follow procedures in order meet Key Performance Objectives of our client's contract. The role also involves inspection and management of properties.

The Manager is also reasonable for providing transport to and from properties for new arrivals and movers.

 

Key duties include:

  • Induct new service users in to properties & sign post as necessary to doctors, support agencies, shops etc
  • Conduct monthly visits to properties and report any defects or incidents
  • Ensure all safety certificates are up to date
  • Transport service users between properties as necessary. This may require occasional travel to Birmingham or London.
  • Manage inventory & repair procedures
  • Ensure properties are compliant with health & safety guidelines and company policy
  • Undertake all training as required
  • Provide cover for other team members as required
  • Keep written records up to date

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have experience of working within supported housing
  • Candidates need to live within one hour of Peterborough and be willing to cover properties in Peterborough and Norwich with some occasional travel further afield
  • Must be able to work on own initiative as the role is a lone worker position
  • Good attitude to all colleagues and strong communication skills
  • IT skills required as all records are kept online and must be regularly updated
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to be flexible if cover for other team members is required

 

The salary is £19,500 pa, a performance bonus of £1,000 pa if achieved, 3% non contributory pension, Laptop, Blackberry, Mileage allowance, 20 days holidays rising to 25, discounted gym membership
