My client is an international rail contractor and due to continued growth they have a requirement for an experienced signalling Planner to work from their London office. You will need to adhere to company reporting processes including EV, CPI and SPI reporting, along with KPIs. You will also need to develop and maintain the project schedule and take a pro-active role in advising on, monitoring and resolving issues, actions and risks in a way that would be expected of a senior member of the project team. Main duties include:- Develop fully baselined, resource loaded, labour costed and logic linked project schedules in accordance with the Project Management and Planning processes.- Schedules should contain all agreed activities, deliverables, milestones, client deliverables and should be based on the Work Breakdown Structure.- Work with Project Managers, Finance Managers and Project team to ensure project schedules are accurately maintained resource loaded and costed.- Provide regular reports on project status meeting internal reporting requirements.- Work closely with the client to provide regular reports as per client requirements (and contractual obligations).- Implement and maintain project monitoring processes, such as KPIs, total float, EV, resource and costng profiles.- Perform critical path analysis and advise of possible actions and areas of concern.- Work Closely with Site and Possession Planners to ensure cohesion between these different activities and the main Project Schedule.- Highlight problem areas and issues and suggest remedial action.- Provide Earned Value and KPI reports internally and to the client.- Initiate and maintain close liaison with all members of the Project team.- Initiate and maintain close liaison with client representatives on schedule issues.Essential Requirements:- Prior planning experience on Network Rail type projects is essential.- Understanding of Rail Signalling - Excellent Primavera skills (P3e/P6)- Able to demonstrate strong client interfacing skills.- Prior experience critical path analysis, resource loaded and cost loaded schedulesPackage is flexible and will depend on relevant experience, circa £45,000 - £50,000 If you feel that you have the relevant experience for this position and would like to know more please don't hesitate in calling Stephen O'Connell on 0118 9522240Services advertised by Project Resource are those of an agency and/or an employment business.
