 My client one of the leading international consultancies's as part of continual expansion are actively recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer based in there Hong Kong office.The Geotechnical Engineer will act as assistant to the Project Engineer to undertake civil, structural / geotechnical design for a wide range of projects including road, rail, building, bridge and viaduct. Key responsibilities will include:*To carry out engineering design under the direction of the Project Engineer / Project Manager.*Direct the work of other engineers and CAD draughtsmen.*Deal with contractor's staff on technical matters.The ideal candidate should hold appropriate civil and structural engineering qualifications to first and preferably second degree level in ideally geotechnical engineering, with some post-graduate experience as well as just / near chartered status.Excellent geotechnical analytical / numerical skills; experience in detailed design of ELS works and underground structures; experience in rock mapping and interpretation of data; and experience in detailed design of major building, civil or bridge structures are also required.In addition, you should be fluent in spoken English, have a thorough understanding of written English, and have a versatile range of technical abilities as well as a wide range of social and engineering skills, capable of working proactively with contractors.If you are interested in working for one of the market leaders contact James on 0161 276 8135.
