My client a leader in the Buildings & Infrastructure Sector, offers clients pragmatic and cost-effective multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural solutions for the development, construction and whole life maintenance of their property assets. As part of continued growth they are actively recruiting for a Assistant Infrastructure Engineer.Core responsibilities will include: executing and completing projects under the direction of the Project Manager, providing technical expertise in roads and drainage design, providing technically competent inputs to projects, acting as the technical specialist in meetings, liaising with stakeholders and completing work in accordance with quality assurance and Health & Safety requirements.The ideal candidate will hold a degree in civil engineering with proven experience in highway and drainage design and excellent organisation, negotiation, interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.You should also be working towards becoming a Chartered/Incorporated Engineer for a relevant professional body; have good knowledge of MS Office; have experience of liaising with external organisations; and have the ability to prepare sections of project reviews, design and procure utilities diversions and perform the role of designer as required by the CDM Regulations.You must have experience in one or more of the following: PDS, Windes, AutoCAD, highway/drainage law, public sector procurement requirements, the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, tender/contract administration duties, working in the private sector on a wide variety of projects (ideally heavy civil engineering projects), and/or obtaining highway/drainage authority approval for developer funded infrastructure schemes and consulting.If you are interested in working for one of the market leaders contact James on 0161 276 8135 to discuss.
